Amplyfy was founded by Steve Barratt and Helenya Jones of API Equity. In 2024, they sold the UK’s largest independent event contracting company, with a £30 million turnover. After building and selling several successful businesses, they decided to use their knowledge to help start-ups and entrepreneurs in the building and lifestyle industries.
Experience that counts
Steve continues as a non-executive on several company boards, with deep expertise in contracting services delivery. Over the years, their businesses have trained over 50 building trade apprentices and countless high-end project managers; experience that now underpins Amplyfy.
Coming together allowed us to combine expertise, and passion, offering everything in ONE incredible team.
Before joining forces, each of our teams operated independently, striving to deliver the best products and services in their fields.

Tom | Operations Manager
Tom oversees our manufacturing team and busy site trades, bringing 16 years of experience in both the event and construction industries. Much of his career was spent running his own local building team.
A proud dad of two, Tom is also a self-proclaimed professional Guinness drinker and an enthusiastic (if amateur) golfer. -

Francesca | Creative Director + Kitchen Designer
Francesca has 15 years of experience and has designed over a thousand kitchens in her career.
A lifelong art and history lover, in her spare time she can often be found exploring historic houses and formal gardens, hot chocolate in hand. -

Chris brings over 10 years of project management experience, previously specialising in air conditioning and ventilation.
He loves good food and stays active through CrossFit and hiking with his dog, Ralph.
