Natalie & Lee’s Kitchen Renovation

Before

When they first approached us, Natalie & Lee were frustrated with their existing kitchen, they had inherited it with the house that they purchased.  The kitchen was small, lacked storage & felt unliveable for a family of four. There was barely any worktop space & the overall style was very dated & not to their taste.

The Brief

Natalie explained that they wanted a cottage core style kitchen that was cosy & inviting to bring their love of the English countryside, & specifically the Cotswolds, into their home.

Natalie & Lee wanted a bigger kitchen without extending the house but the existing location just wouldn’t do. After going through all of Natalie’s ideas for the kitchen we brought in a team of our trusted trades to refurb 3 of the downstairs rooms. We removed a wall between the existing kitchen & a back room that wasn't really being used. We then built a wall between the existing kitchen & the current lounge to create a cosier living room that was separated from the new kitchen. The result was a bright & airy new space that allowed for the new kitchen & dining to open out on to the garden through 2 sets of patio doors.

The Result

Together, we created a beautiful new kitchen that gives the whole family somewhere to cook & relax. Storage space has been increased, we even had room to include a 90cm chef’s larder with 2 pan drawers & spice racks to keep all the dry stores organised.

Natalie chose Farrow & Ball’s Joa’s White for the cabinets, a buttery soft white that warms in the shadows. Topped with Artemistone Arabescato Cremo quartz that adds natural texture.

The large Belfast sink adds a focal point & with it’s fluted front & the Classic Quooker in Patinated brass teamed up with the Franke Perla hand spray adds beauty to practicality. All paired beautifully with the Corston Bayswater knobs & Sycamore bar handles in antique brass.

The whole team is delighted with how this refurbishment turned out, it was such a huge improvement for both the family's day to day life & also to the property in general.

I hope that Natalie, Lee & their little ones can enjoy their new kitchen for many years to come.
